New to the forum and I to was debating the c2300 Vs c47 and all other variants to include the c48, c50, and C2500.

I ended up with the c2300 1) the cool Blue meters 2) lack of DAC. With DACs changing rapidly I decided to rely on the source DAC and not have an out of date DAC in a couple years.

I’m pairing the c2300 with an MC402, should be here next week. I have read all I can on interconnects and I’m trying to find something budget friendly. I will be running the McIntosh setup along side my home theater and will be utilizing the passthru feature.

Yes transparency wise the 2003 will not let you down -it's really good.

Personally I'd go for the 2300 and keep the DAC separate. There are better DACs (than the C47's) out there, for instance I got a PS Audio and also if you do care about DSD that one is a gem.

Good choice on the C2300! I've been using mine for years and am very happy with it.

To me, the C2300 is a better choice, especially when rolling with NOS tubes.

Thanks.

I love my 2300....especially since I rolled in some PSVANE line stage tubes. I also enjoy using external DACs.

Cheers.

Sergio.......It's been eight months since you asked us for opinions on the C2300 and C47 preamplifiers. Which way did you go?
