Default McDac review...

HERE

Since I know a ton of people are looking only in this sub-topic on the forum, I felt it prudent to link to another part of the forum where the entire shootout happened.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the review. I like the idea of an mc452 driving the xrt1ks.

I too found the Pre-amp section of the mcd1100 to be lacking the Dimensionality.

However, I always use a constant Pre-amp along with the dacs, to better shootout dacs, without their Pre-amp sections-fixed output.

And the mcd1100 is really great when you do that, even with a c48.

However, I understand the shoot out for all components to be 'independent', except the musichall, for users to streamline their system.

Just need to apply the units to their best abilities, and that comes with proper matching.

My 2 cents.

I just want to say thank you to Emil (Vesuvius), Dewey (dteam702), Brian (briweed), Jeff (A/V Solutions), and Keith (KCM45) for making the review happen, pouring out their experiences and writing it all down. Thank you guys so much for all the work you put into the shootout.

No good deed goes unpunished.

Ivan/Dan, can you merge the additional comments to the review thread and then lock this one?

(I just wanted to create a link since I know so many only look in this sub-forum and not anywhere else on AA.)

Thank you everybody.
