JL Audio customer service 5 stars!

I feel compelled to to relay my recent experience with the folks at JL Audio.
I recently had an issue with one of my F112s. I put in a call to the dealer I bought it from to ask if he had any suggestions. As I was waiting for him to get back to me, I looked up the JL website, and sent them an e-mail. Within 5 minutes, I had an e-mail response with the probable cause, and that they have a 3 year warranty, and the info they needed to proceed. They also let me know that they had a flat rate repair, for $300 that included return shipping. For that price they would make any repairs needed to the electronics, including a few upgrades that they had implemented, and check the driver, and repair, or replace it if it did not meet specs, and return ship it back to me.
In the mean time my dealer had got back to me with purchase date, and suggested that I bring it in. I responded to JLs e-mail with the info they needed. I was a bit upset that the unit was just shy of 2 months out of warranty, but what can you do. They wanted my contact info as well.
Ten minutes later, at 6:15 PM(after closing), I get a phone call from them, letting me know that they were not the kind of company that would not take care of a problem so close to the expiration of the warranty, and that they were going to cover the repair! Awesome!
I ship the unit out the next day. I get it back two weeks later! Awesome! Except, it not my sub. I sent them a gloss black F112. I was sent a satin black F112 that was not mine. I contacted them to let them know. It took them a couple days to investigate the mix up. My sub was delivered to another dealer, and was picked up by his customer. After another 2 days of them waiting to hear from the person who received my sub with no response, they called to let me know that they were not going to keep me waiting any longer, and were sending me out a brand new F112V2, as mine was aV1!. Three day later a brand new Gloss black F112V2 is sitting here in my living room. I don't think you can ask for any better customer service than that. I was considering trying some RELs with my 2 ch system, but after this experience, I will be proudly be standing behind JL Audio!

For this reason I am glad I have 4 JL Audio subs. Two F113v2s and two F112v1s. Great company and the Einstein of subs, Barry Ober with JL Audio, is only 45 minutes from my house. I do not know of any other sub company that offers the musicality and exuberance when called for.

I did. I dealt with Randy in tech support, and Shane in custom service. I spoke to their supervisor, Amy, and let her know how pleased I was with how I was treated. She was very happy the receive the call.
I forgot to mention that Randy, in tech support followed up with a call that lasted over an hour, to make sure i understood how to properly set up the new sub, and get the time, and phase alignment integrated with my main speakers. Just first class!
