Smile The timer starts now

Well, today I finally got off of the fence and ordered my MC1502. This will mark my final Mc amp purchase before I decide to kick back and enjoy the fruits of my laborious career. I recently upgraded my preamp with the thought of making this purchase. I was told to at least expect a 3 month time frame for delivery but I am prepared for a longer period from what I have gathered reading the recent stories on this site. Part of the journey is the wait; that what Maria told me 40 yrs ago when we began our life together. Now, tic toc tic tic…..

miner-

Three months to forty years is a blink or two. Congratulations on your purchase and decision.

Congratulations Kevin, what a great step in the journey. You're gonna love retirement with that system.

Congratulations! I know you've been eyeing the 1502 for a while now. Everyone says it's a great amp. I hope they're right. Never heard one so I'm taking it on faith.

3 months is optimistic if my experience tells anything of the backlog, but you never know.

What's the plan for the 275? A second system or the "for sale" ads?

Thank you gents for the comments.

I am getting $5500 towards the MC1502 as trade value. Not too shabby considering that is $1000 more than I paid (but I bought two then). Sold one a few months back thinking 90W was sufficient for my listening needs, which, it probably is. The more I read about the 1502 the more I became enchanted by its improvements and offering.

Congrats! It's a great looking piece of gear and I'm sure sounds even better than it looks.
