That is odd, I hadn’t noticed that.

Wow, I just looked it up, beautiful sub. I may have to look at the Gravis I for my Minimas.

Nothing like a sub that was designed by the same team of engineers to go with their own speakers. Well, at least one can be very confident in Sonus Faber.

Prior to the Gravis II I had a REL B1which is known for being able to fine tune. I found the Gravis to be easier to set up and tune with the EA III. I did not lose much, if any, low end by going from a REL 12" to the Sf 10" active and 10" passive.

How is the ea3? I am looking at that and the maxima as a next step |

Hi Joey. I am just blown away how well the EA3 images and produces music so beautifully. For the money I truly feel these are one of their best monitors for the money. I did add the Gravis 2 sub to extend the low end. Previous to these I had the Sf Cremona Auditor Ms with a REL B1.

Really! I can't imagine them sounding radically different. I also saw a cross section of the cabinet ( I think in Soundstage Network) and there is nothing but empty unused space below the upper enclosure and the lower one enclosing the crossover. Just air and even the rear port is in the same place as the Electa Amator III.

Maxima Amator
These are beautiful speakers, but has anyone heard them ?
I have the Sonus Faber Nova III and wonder how they would compare. My listening room is 12x12. Happy Listening. Trailmusic System: Sonus Faber Nova III, Lumin A1, Esoteric F-05, Nordost Valhalla 2 cabling. |
