New Nnenna Freelon Fan
I recently read a Smokey Robinson interview where he recommended Nnenna Freelon’s version of “Tears of a Clown” as the very best version of his song. I looked up Nnenna Freelon on iTunes and have been listening to to her album “Tales of Wonder,” a collection of mainly Stevie Wonder song arrangements as well as that Smokey Robinson tune.
I am just so favorably impressed with this album! Everything about the album is so well done! New interpretations of many of Stevie Wonder best songs. Stevie’s music just always touched my heart and this album does his music justice. I’m really looking forward to listening to Nnenna’s other albums—Thanks Smokey. Bob, Thanks for your reply. I haven’t been so enthusiastic about an album in a very long time. Nice to hear you are a fan of Nnenna Freelon too. Your screen name says jazz musician—what instrument do you play?
