Judging solely from the picture (God forbid they release info during a huge industry event) the floor standing speaker has four 4" woofers, ten 2" midrange and a single 3/4" tweeter. At the bottom of the speaker the McIntosh logo appears to light up though it might just be an effect of the camera flash.

The bookshelf speaker appears to have one 4" woofer, two 2" midrange and a single 3/4" tweeter. I'm assuming both speakers are ported like the ones that come with the MXA60 system.

I'm not so sure about the gold trim and green glow. They look weird on a classy 275..

with regard to the floorstander...fascinating variation on the d'appolito design.

Sentry Monitor + 275 = would be AWESOME.

Kind of like the front porch look of the C500t/C1000t While I'm not crazy about the look of the green, if it sounds wonderful, I'm OK with it

Brian.......I think the LED's under the small tubes on the new MC275 MkVI look silly. If McIntosh doesn't provide a way to turn them off it won't take five minutes to figure out how to do it myself. I much prefer looking at the orange glow from the heaters.

Dan
Did you turn them off on your 2300?

Jim.......No, the LED's on the C2300 are on. I can turn them off from the remote control if I want to. The preamp sits in a rack below the MR74, so I can't see the tubes anyway. I get your point, but being forced to view green tubes continuously can become a bit of an eye sore. When my C1000T was in the studio rack I wished more than once McIntosh had made provisions to turn the LED's off like you can with the meter lights.

The MC275 amplifier is a classic design, and though I find the addition of green LED lighting on the small tubes to be a sales gimmick, being able to defeat the "feature" should be an owner option, in my opinion.

Tacky IMO. Reminds me of LED 6x9 speakers. McIntosh is turning into Monster Cable or worst, Bose.
