Default Ma9000

Has anyone had experience with the MA9000 integrated. I am planing to use this integrated in a multi use room. I will be listening to music with my turntable mostly and some digital. The room also is used for movies and tv watching . I currently have a Marantz 7008 4k receiver for movies and tv with an older MC58 bridged for the front 3 and side two surrounds with the 7008 running the rears. This sounds good for movies and such but my focus is mostly with the phono section. I also considered the C52 but will have to spend extra to get a comparable amp that’s already in the 9000. My speakers are Sonus Faber Signatures.
Thanks Dale

I had the opportunity to listen McIntosh MA9000. The MA9000 is really a great integrated amplifier. You should listen to the McIntosh MA9000, as it is a really good alternative to a preamplifier + power amplifier combination.

I have the MA8000. Same basic IA except for some of the digital inputs. The phono section is exceptional. Buy it. You won't regret it.

If I go with the 9000 how should I connect my two JL audio subs for movies and music ? I have them in the the sub outs on the Marantz. I’m not sure how to connect them to work with the pass thru for music listening.

I saw this beast today. It was impressive to say the least. I didn't listen to it, on purpose, because I probably would have wanted it.

I pulled the trigger and ordered one today! It will take 2-3 weeks to arrive, and I'll report back once I put it through its paces.

You da Man! Great choice. You're going to be very happy with it.

Thank you, I hope so (and so does my wife!). I just hope I won't lose too much of the magical tube sound I currently have. From what I've read and heard from others, it shouldn't suffer too much, plus there's the advantage of being able to leave it on for longer periods and a killer DAC! A few have told me it will sound even better. I'll find out shortly.

I’ll be ordering one when I return home for thanksgiving. I think I can hook the subs up using the balanced outs or use a y connection between the variable out and amp connections.
