I agree that the input tubes can make a substantial difference to the MC275, but with my Mk 6 I've found the Psvane 88s to add quite a bit of "drive" over my Gold Lions. These are pretty small differences, though, and it can get pricey to swap quads in and out. Had I known I might have stuck with the (in my case, very good-sounding) stock Russians!

I have had my MC275 VI for around 15 months now and am considering new tubes.
I have searched and cannot find a diagram which shows the function of each tube for the MC275 VI. Does anyone know where I can find this? Also, I see an online company named "Reverb LP" sells sets of tubes for this amp. I was wondering if anyone had experience buying tubes with them? I love the MC275 VI but am always interested in improving the sound if possible! Last edited by Mac6; 01-08-2019 at 11:35 AM. |
