I'd like to see a pic too; Toga email it to me and I'll post it.

For $185k in the US (I am sure it's a lot more in Asia where Toga lives...I believe Malaysia but could be wrong), all of the above should be guaranteed by Magico. At that price point, anything less would be piss poor service. Just my 2c.
Cyril, Toga is in Thailand. I totally agree with you regarding the servicing. Dealer should take care of everything.

I also understand Toga's reluctance when you see how massive they are. This is a lot of hassle.

The best solution would be for Magico to send someone to repair them directly. I'm sure that would cost less than having them shipped back and forth.

In my opinion, 92F is certainly warm but it's not hot enough to damage the gasket. There are places in the US that are much hotter than that. The gasket should be rated for much higher temperature.

I will upload photo within a day. Busy with work. Yes George, I am hesitate because of all the hassle. Don't forget the customs clearance issue too. And agree that on site maintenance is a more viable and cost effective option. Toga. By the way, just love the new M. Check it out. Not sure to be a new king or not. But it comes with plastic single end terminals.

Ok friends.

Here is the link to see what happen on my Q7.

It is an example for bad quality control. Since Q7 is very expensive product something needs to be done. Dealer that sold you the speakers can at least send pics to Magico (if you personally didn't do it already) and to ask what is their explanation and solution for this problem.

I am big Magico fan and S5 owner but, I would not accept explanation like "...shit happeneds".

Toga, I've seen the video and it looks like the gasket has melted.

It doesn't look that bad but we expect perfection from such product. I hope the fix will be easy and hassle-free.

Toga has identified a problem with his extremely expensive speakers and has essentially asked for comments in this, the friendly forum, seeking advice from his friends here - as most of us would do in similar circumstances.

This forum was established to provide a mechanism for individuals of similar enthusiasms, to discuss our interests, our concerns, to seek advice and help, and to express our thoughts in a non-threatening, non abrasive manner, as Toga has done here.

Toga has started a thread, seeking the advice and wisdom from his friends, has not taken anything "public", and I don't believe that the vast majority of us here would question his motives in having done so.

I try not to panic, I will wait and hear. At least I inform them within a warranty time. no matter how expensive products are, a melting rubber is understandable. The only problem I see here is the hassle of having this sorted out. toga

After looking at video I'm thinking that performance will not be affected but, it sure looks horrible and would not be acceptable to live with.
Lets see what Magico does to make this right.
I'd be pushing to have the speakers replaced.......

Well, no offence, but he is asking for wisdom in the wrong place. I owned 3 different Magico speakers in the past 8 years. Never had any issues. I also bother them, a lot (I am a pest, as you probably notice…). They always return my calls or emails, always!
It is really a shame that some people heave the uncontrollable urge to tarnish company QC reputation without first examining the situation, contacting the manufacture or even alerting the dealer. It is also a real treat to see everyone jumping in, knowing absolutely nothing on the matter. But why bother to find out? It is a lot easier to just rant.
What you see here is the Silicon sealer, that due to extreme weather changes have gotten squeezed more than the norm. It is not a “gasket that melted” and it can easily be cleaned. No damage nor malfunction on any one part, but if you let a room go from a 95 degree with probably 95% humidity without an ac, to a 65 degree, 50% humidity in 20 min with ac, you may have all sorts of issues. How do I know?? I called Magico this morning and talked to Dave. A very fine man, who was very happy to help, as usual. BTW, as of an hour ago, he had not heard from any Q7 owner/distributor in Thailand about any issues, NEVER. Toga will go to the trouble of alerting the world, taking videos and freaking everyone out, but will not bother to place a simple call to the manufacturer about this. Now how hard that could be?
