+1

I would take them over the Alexia as well. Perhaps not as bombastic (you would need the S5 for that), but a lot more articulate and transparent.

Just did a home audition of the S1....

Wow, the bass imo is very adequate for my cluttered room....

I'm quite sure I'll order one. Now the question of colors... Glossy titanium or cast black or cast bronze? My furnishing is mostly dark wood....

Thanks!

I like the gloss much better but would have a hard time paying the up charge on the S1. It is a large percentage of the price. On speakers like the S5 that same up charge is a lot smaller percentage of the total price.

Cool, thanks.

I find the S1 resolved with great clarity, smooth, and fatigue free with superb integration of bass-mid-highs. It pulled me away from Sonus Faber, and the older Wilson Audio Duette was not in the same league (but Sabrina was not available back then for comparison). I do think though not everyone will be use to the sealed bass as it does give a different presentation, but still excellent if you listen to bass guitars, etc. Cheers Orb
Thanks Orb.

Hi gapple88,

How big is your room? Are you in USA? I'm looking for dealer to do home demo.

I just got done listening to the S3s and then S1s. While the S3s are a better speaker IMO, I was blown away at how amazingly good the S1s are. I have heard Wisdom Audio and while very good ( all sweet spot), I was not fixated on them after hearing them. Now the Magicos, that could be another story.
