Chimera,

Sounds good! Don't hesitate to send any of us an e-mail in the future, even if its just for treatment advice and not product.

Ivan,

I do enjoy the vibe of this forum. While Bryan at our company has known the world of two-channel for a long time, RMAF was my first real taste of the vast world of hi-fi. I've known some of the bigger names (like McIntosh, of course) prior, but hopefully my knowledge will be able to increase through a forum like this. I look forward to everyone's insights here.

@Jim (Still-One):

In a few weeks I will improve my acoustics with three GIK panels above my couch, and want to place some panels on my ceiling as well. And I like the ones you have on your ceiling. Are they also GIK's?

No, the panels on my ceiling are made by Real Traps while the panels on all four walls are GIK.

Thank you for your quick reply

What's your opinion on them? Are you really liking them, or are you considering replacing them with GIK's?

I will keep the real traps for the ceiling. I don't require the ArtPanels in that location. I am actually considering moving the ceiling panels so they at about a 45 degree angle just above each speaker. I originally had the panels installed in their current locations when my MBL 111F's were on the long wall to address the difference in ceiling height in my room.

Default Great Service & Advice at GIK Acoustics

I just wanted to share a good experience dealing with Alexander Reynolds at GIK Acoustics. His title is Educator, Designer and I think that's right because he spent a lot time looking at my situation and educating me on possible options and expected results.

Based on his advice I will get a couple of 244 Full Range panels (24" x 48" x 5.25") to tame slap echo effects. He also suggested diffusors for the wall behind my 20.7s to "help spread out the sound back there, so it has the illusion that it's had more time to mix with the ambiance of the room." Once I get the side wall panels in right spot I might try the diffusors as well.

Thanks, Alexander! I'll let you know how it turns out.

Thanks, Alexander. The panels are working out very well. No more slap echo. I might get another pair and some diffusors for behind the speakers as well. Thanks for the great service and product.
