Bel Canto
Tidal/Vimberg
Focal
Bryston
Gryphon

Not so sure how many "big" ones are on that list but a quick look shows that these guys are also not on the committed list as of this morning

ARC
Ayre
Brinkmann
CH Precision
Classe
Conrad Johnson
Constellation
DeVore
DCS
D'Agostino
Esoteric
Krell
Linn
Lumin
Martin Logan
Moon
Musical Surroundings (Clearaudio and other analog lines)
Nagra
Naim
Pass
Rega
Thorens
Totem
Transparent
Vivid
Wilson

Some local dealers may also sit this one out.

Still a long ways to go but RMAF do have their work cut out for them.

That’s a pretty long and popular list. I hope that it’s just a matter of being early. I’m gonna be pretty ticked if we all get out there and it’s a ghost town. That being said, I cannot imagine the organizers of one of the most popular shows in the world wouldn’t have taken attendance into account before moving the show to such a nice venue. That really wouldn’t make any sense, but then again, there’s a lot about high end audio that doesn’t make any sense.

Agreed, the combined list is staggering. The show organizers and hotel have to get their collective shite together to improve this and get more big names in the venue and cheaper rates worked out or they will see cancellations start a few weeks before the show. Sad that I can hit Munich for half the coast of a show that is in Denver.

FWIW, I speak to major manufacturers regularly. More than a few have told me the price for a regular room has gone up to over $10K.

They claim the ROI is just not there.

It's really sad to see this list being so extensive. Sadly, I myself will not be attending the show. While the Gaylord Center is beyond doubt superb in every way, its location is just too far from Lone Tree for me to be able to do this. I'm not going to spend 3 hours+ on the light rail getting there and back, nor will I spend $50 per day on tolls if I decided to rent a car. My brother, who was my driver last year, has already told me I'm on my own for transportation since its just to darn far out there.

Yikes, $10,000 for a room seems steep for an audio trade show. This is a bit alarming......I wonder if the show organizers would be in any way honest about the situation if I sent them an email asking about the short list so far?

While I've never been I always love the show reports from RMAF and it would be a shame if it falls apart. Fingers crossed they come to their senses.

Well, it’s hard to believe that the organizers wouldn’t have gotten input from the exhibitors before moving the show to a more expensive location. That would be a major blunder. Nothing they can probably do about it now for 2019, probably too late in the year.

A couple of things: 1) Many times brands are displayed even though they are not yet listed as an exhibitor because they are a part of a dealer's room or another manufacturers room. 2) My local dealer (who usually exhibits at RMAF) said that the rooms are double the cost of previous years, and he will likely not exhibit this year but rather have a "booth" in the general market area. Sad turn of events if RMAF gets priced out of existence. It's been such a great show over the past decade and 1/2.
