HRS to match Accuphase

I just wish HRS to make the platform in Accuphase champaign gold too.

I have one silver, for Silver ARC amp, and one black for my Turntable.
I just try something for fun, but found out I have sound improvement with HRS
Platform between FE rack and Accuphase players. I put HRS S1 under ARC pre amp but I
Think it made sound too cool, even though a very very clean and refined treble , I like ARC direct
On FE platform more. This could be that ARC is too light for Green S1, the Accuphase weight just right
For these S1.

I felt both colors don't match very well, but black may be better, especially if rack is

It is interesting how you can improve such a highly regarded rack as Finite Element.

I have noted a big improvement - esp in terms of body, fluidity and smoothness - after I put an acrylic PAB platform (High Fidelity) under my MSB dac.







Now I have plans to custom order acrylic shelves to replace the MDF shelves in my Pagode racks.

I do this for experiment only, I moved HRS out of the off duty Arc Ref75 and Denon turntable.

I will try put HRS directly on the beam of FE rack, removing wood plate. The position of HRS feet
Is right on the the beam.

I will not keep it this way permanently, however, as visually it s degrading.
But may be if Mike produced champaign gold SRX and S1 I might reconsider.

I belive the FE plates are made of MDF, not wood.

Geezz.. First I see already Cerabases underneath the FE platform, then another whole acrylic set atop.
I'm afraid by the time you get the equipments tuned to perfection the combination of footers, platforms and bases alone would be up 3ft high.
Also would not be surprised if costing 3x the piece itself sitting atop!

Great effort guys.. I too am interested to know the outcome, but hoping there's a best one floor solution amongst those platforms/footers, could not afford multi-storeys one yet.

This is exactly why I want to try to replace the standard MDF platforms on my FE racks with acrylic ones. Acrylic has some great acoustic properties.

Anyway, I think this is too costly way to tune the sound.
A great power connectors make greater effect for 1/5 or less of the price of platform.
But yes we do need some study place for our expensive equipments and it must looks right too.
Accuphase on silver HRS which is on cherry or maple FE racks just doesn't look right to my eye.
