Twitter is scientific evidence that we are devolving!

You are way off. There is plenty of evidence that average humans are getting taller. What you have noted is that the low and high outliers has probably changed little.

No sir, I am not way off. The very recent increase in average height is very likely attributed to much better and abundant nutrition and perhaps more likely to all the hormones we have been ingesting through our source of meat as greed took over common sense. From scientific observations

The observed increase in height has not been continuous since the dawn of man; it began sometime around the middle of the nineteenth century. In fact, examinations of skeletons show no significant differences in height from the stone age through the early 1800s. Also, during World Wars I and II, when hunger was a frequent companion of the German civilian population, the heights of the children actually declined. They only recovered during the post-war years.

Summarizing the genetic data from humans, another author concludes, rather pessimistically:

Even with DNA sequence data, we have no direct access to the processes of evolution, so objective reconstruction of the vanished past can be achieved only by creative imagination.

Since there is no real scientific evidence that evolution is occurring at present or ever occurred in the past, it is reasonable to conclude that evolution is not a fact of science, as many claim. In fact, it is not even science at all, but an arbitrary system built upon faith in universal naturalism.

Come on Serge. Part of evolution in all creatures is attibutable to changes in diet. Species have become extinct when their food source has disappeared or changed significantly.

Your comments on height are suspect or can be contradicted by countless others studies.

If the purpose of this thread is to debate whether evolution is or should not an acceptable scientific principle then I am out of here.

Changes in diet is part of evolution? Perhaps...

The point of the thread was really a question to ponder, "what mechanism" exactly would be responsible for evolution if there is such a thing? Conscious, subconscious, internal or external force that analyzes the living organism, it's environment and habitat and then commands the genetic changes....
