In addition to getting new releases much sooner on Kscape, there are quite a few really good movies that I deliberately buy on both BluRay and Kscape.

I guess old habits die hard.

I hear you, I was the same way, always pre-ordering Blu-ray to get them as soon as possible. These days I don't even look at what is coming out on Amazon, I am delighted and surprised by a good movie that pops up on Netflix or Amazon Prime streaming without having to pay for it. I'm in no rush!

Does Netflix release their content on physical media? They will spend $15Bn on content this year, the old Hollywood model is getting disrupted.

I buy 4K when it matters because I don’t have the bandwidth to stream it.

I still want the physical media. Streaming can't touch the quality of video and Dolby Atmos on a 4K disk. I may not re-watch many of the disks I have, but my theater is a popular attraction at family holiday gatherings. I also occasionally host a group of friends to watch a movie.

They still offer the Physical media service as far as I know. I’ve used it for quite some time in the past as well, for those movies that I clearly had no intention of buying. I doubt it is a significant part of their business these days but very convenient for those who lack bandwidth or prefer the physical media for their blu-ray players. Pick a movie, two or three, pull them out of your mailbox, watch and pop them back in the mailbox. Once returned the next batch in your que gets shipped.

With a good player, physical media still has advantages over streaming - for example, more functionality built-in to fine tune the playback.

This may vary by location, but a good source of blu-ray (not 4K yet, at least for me): Your local library.
Our library gets the latest releases, has a great app to get in the queue and receive an availability notification, etc, etc. Plus you may find movies you would not have typically seen.

Cost: Included in my property taxes.
