803 D3 connection
Received my 803D3 yesterday (replacing 803D2). I use single wire and jumper cables. I noticed in the manual they connect the speaker cables of the 803D3 on the high f and on the 803D2 on the low f. I suppose I have to connect them now on the high f ? Jus want to be sure because the jumper cables have a direction to connect. When connecting the speakers on a McIntosh MC 452 would you connect them on the 4 or 8 ohm ? Thanks for advice !

It won't hurt the speakers either way. Try both and go with what sounds best to you.

Hi audionet,
I've not noticed a difference when connecting the speaker cables directly to the HF or LF connections on our binding posts. Regarding McIntosh, the 4 and 8 ohm outputs sound different (regardless of the nominal impedance of the loudspeaker.) The 8 ohm sounds more open, whereas the 4 ohm has more control in the bass. More a question of balance in your particular system than anything else. Regards, Patrick Butler B&W Group North America Quote:

How do you think the 803D3's will work with a Devialet D400 mono block system? Speaker cable Auditorium 23. Thanks Brian |
