I have 803S's. Upgrading the electronics to Ayre. Noting the out-of-my-budget pricing for the D3's, bought a dealers last still-in-box 803D2's.

Sure hope not!

It was an easy fix. The inner binding post ring needed to get tightened up. I could only hope nothing else is loose inside, but i would never know!! That speaker seems to sound fine.

Well as long as your daughter has new wheels and that makes her happy and safe that is all that counts over new speakers!

Has anyone who ordered a pair of 802 or 803 d3s in rosenut received theirs yet? I ordered my 802s in early December and am still waiting. I was told recently that B&W was having an unanticipated difficult time with the upgraded specs on the rosenut. I just wondered if rosenut is shipping at all at this time. My center and surrounds(d2 series) are rosenut, so I couldn't very well go with black. I hope they get the production of these going faster/better soon. It used to be that one could go into a local shop and have the speaker of your choice delivered that day! Looks like those days are long gone. I've simultaneously been dealing with getting a turntable that is taking months as well--first one was defective and, of course, they have to start from "scratch" to build a new one. I've paid for two items that I don't yet have in my possession.

Mine is still delayed, now for March, but I got my center already 1 month ago.

Hi 2dparrish,

Thank you for ordering 802D3! You'll love them.

Customers have received rosenut 802D3 orders. The real problem here is that the series is new (started shipping in October), there is a fixed quantity produced monthly and demand is high. Customers who re-ordered product in September (when the series was announced) started receiving product in roughly 60 days, with wait times considerably longer for items like center channels, which went into production after the main models.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best Regards,

Patrick Butler

I was first on the list at my dealer, probably in all of Toronto, for a pair of 802D3 in black and they finally arrived beg January. I ordered early October so over 90days. My pair are #43. I have the 802D3 to tied me over while i still await the HTM1D3...

As others have said, they are worth the wait, been really happy with mine.

Patrick,

Thanks for the information. It's good to know that rosenut is shipping. I just haven't seen anyone post a picture who has received one yet...I know patience is a virtue.
