This was eyed in a previous post from today. I like this wine and isn’t expensive.

We've been trying several reds of late. The 2014 CMS (Washington) Cab/Merlot/Syrah blend is very tasty, as is the 2015 Powell & Sons (California) Riverside Grenache/Mataro/Shiraz blend.

So excited! I can’t get Blanton’s where I live, except at a few restaurant bars here & there.

I was out in Seattle and Portland all week and went looking specifically for McCarthys Oregon Whiskey. As I scanned the liquor store shelves, my jaw dropped when I saw Blanton’s. I abandoned the McCarthys and bought a few bottles of Blanton’s, then made a pit stop at Target to get a second backpack to check them on my flight home. What a great finish to the looooong week!

Friday evening i had an German Spätburgunder Gross from Krebs 2015 , and it was really good especially after some time in the Decanter.

and for tonight i will try a Peter Yealands Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2016 ( New Zealand )

I'm finishing up a bottle of Colonel Taylor's and will open the bottle of Blanton's I got for my work going away party in 2016. I've never had it before so this will be a real treat!

Nice. We like wines from the area east of Bordeaux and generally visit every few years (stay in St. Emilion). Market days in Libourne are excellent.

Been a long day (raking leaves, casting bullets, prepping cases, more raking) so have put on a 'Police' album and am kicking back with a frosty Blue Moon Belgium White. Almost gone so will follow it up with a cold Yuengling Porter I just discovered at the back of shelf in refrigerator. Am guessing I'll sleep well tonight.
