They are under my processor. They just added to what the JR's did under the DAC. In short I would say a lower noise floor and more 3D imaging. I am going to remove them tomorrow evening and see if I miss them. I figure I will end up keeping them because I perceive an improvement an would never forgive myself for taking a step backwards by giving them back.

I've always had success using either the JR's or Series 2. The Series 2 offers more refinement.
I also like the Ultras under heavier gears for added stability.

This afternoon I installed two more sets of three Rollerblock Jr.'s, one set each under the McIntosh C1000C controller and the C1000P preamplifier. I already have Rollerblock Jr.'s under the MCD500, MS750, and the MEN220.

Everything I spoke of in my initial review of the Rollerblock Jr.'s remains true, but now I am experiencing an even greater sense of separation between all instruments and voices. I honestly was not sure I would hear any additional clarity or greater separation of voices and instruments by placing Rollerblock Jr.'s under the two preamp components, but my skepticism has been replaced with absolute wonder. How the Rollerblock Jr.'s managed to dig out a performance boost from free standing electronic components is beyond my comprehension, but it is not beyond my ability to hear.

My attention was initially grabbed while listening to Joyce Cooling's new CD Global Cooling. The electric bass guitar was more solid, thicker, without the slightest hint of bloat. The bass was totally in its own space. Then my attention was drawn to the new sense of more air between Joyce's guitar, the drums, and the horns. Multiple horns were playing the same notes, yet you could clearly hear each horn's personality, and musician's individual techniques with their instruments without a trace of smear between the individual horns' tones. Presence in the entire system's performance has been elevated again. The sound stage was excellent before the Rollerblock Jr.'s went under the C1000C and C1000P, but now seems to have taken on an even sharper high definition focus. There is fresh clarity to the entire sound system's performance. Yesterday I would not have belived I would hear it, but today I am a believer.

Again, I have to say the improvements that each set of Rollerblock Jr.'s added has been subtle, not dramatic, but there is no doubt that with each additional component supported by the Rollerblock Jr.'s came additional air, focus and clarity. The skeptic in me said that supporting the preamp would be a waste of money, but I was wrong. The Symposium Rollerblock Jr.'s produced an authentic sonic improvement where I thought no more was available. In my opinion, the Rollerblock Jr.'s are not a tweak, they should be considered a necessity for all high-end components.

Impressive review Dan! I use Rollerblocks on every component I own. I will soon be experimenting with HRS Nimbus isolation and couplers for my amps.

Ivan.......Thank you. I have started thinking about Symposium FatPadz under the two ampifiers' feet. I'm still in the procrastination mode on this.

Symposium FatPadz is another one of those unexplainable devices that simply work.

I have had about 12 hours of music playing today so far. Whatever it is the Rollerblock Jr.'s are doing to my sound system, I like it a lot, in fact I am thrilled. It is difficult to put a finger on the exact words to describe the new found clarity. The music simply sounds more lifelike with the Rollerblocks supporting my components. There just seems to be a more holographic dimension to the sonic presentation. The difference is like diving into crystal clear spring water flowing from deep underground versus swimming in a backyard pool. Sure, they are both brisk, enjoyable, wet and watery experiences, but the comparison ends right there. Such has been the difference in my music today. I have been awe struck since playing the first Liz Story disc early this morning. The improved sound is absolutely exhilarating, and oh so real. I am completely hooked. Symposium Rollerblock Jr.'s under the source components, plus the MEN220, the C1000C/P preamplifier and controller have remarkably raised the performance bar for my sound system. Just what I needed, something to make it even more difficult to turn the sound system off at night and go to bed.
