Spiking 802D?
I have a pair of 802D speakers. Right now I have them on the rubber spikes for wood floors but they are on teflon coasters covered in carpet so they can be slid around and positioned.
I am considering pulling the coasters out from under which per dealer will "spike them", but what kind of change can I expect to hear by doing so? It is a two person job, but an easy one.
Right now the bass is a little unwieldy and there is a lot of interaction and cavitation in the room. I'd like to tighten that up a bit. Will spiking the speakers help? Thoughts?
