805D/Sub placement
I recently purchased a new REL R 528 to be used with my 805Ds and was curious if others using sub systems have
found it necessary or recommend repositioning the stand-mounts to more free placement once the sub was added, or if it is best to leave them where they sound best without the sub and blend from there? Sent from my iPad using A.Aficionado |

Match the sub to the mains. The R528 will likely be in the corner facing the opposite corner. If it sounds too boomy, lower the crossover and raise the gain. |

I will continue adjusting the levels and crossover. I currently have it pointing equally into the room from the corner and I think I will need to try some other angle orientations too. Sent from my iPad using A.Aficionado |

Do it by ear. It may not be exactly diagonal, but the most important aspect pf setting up the sub is to make sure that the mains are pressurizing the room evenly before you start on the sub.
