I am using an MC452 with my Strads.

As I dial their location in, the volume keeps going down and the meters of the MC452 rarely hit 45 watts. And if they do, it is over 100dB at the listening position.

Using MC601 monos here for my Strads. I hardly hit 6 watts. They sound great with the SS amps.

I use 3 power amps with very good results :

- Krell KSA 80 ( solid state 125W in Class A real / channel)
- Esoteric A03 (solid state 77W in class A real / channel)
- 845 push pull monoblocs Cary CAD 211 AR (70W class A / channel)

Of course tubes are far beyong solid state to my taste for voices and acoustic instruments and are a perfect match with the exceptionnal mid woofer of the Stradivari.
For more complex music (pop, rock etc..) solid state in class A is really perfect. That's why I have both, I use the one or the other according to what I'm listening.

I cannot agree more, Class A is a great match with SF or in my case the FS Ktemas.

Accuphase C3850, A-70, DC-37, Franco Serblin Ktemas, Simaudio 810lp phono preamp, Transparent cables and power conditioner. Vpi Classic 1/SDS TT, Mac Mini

I've owned a few of Sonus Faber speakers such as the Elipsa, Guarneri Homage, Cremona A monitors and (Cremona Elipsa Auditors in a HT environment as surrounds) and I don't remember any of the SF being a tough load for any of the amps. Not very familiar with the newer SF products but the generations prior have always sounded great with SS or tubes to my ears. I personally had great success with McIntosh, Bryston, BAT, Lamm, ARC from what I can remember.
