Default MVP 871 broken

I have MVP 871 that will play sometimes and sometimes it will not work. I want to know if there is any value in it? I do plan on buying mvp891. I did buy the oppo 95 last month but it seems out of place in my rack that contains all mcintosh gear. I plan on moving oppo upstairs.

I've seen them selling for between 1500.-2000. In vg condition. So I guess you will need to fix it prior to selling or sell it for a little under market value. I wouldn't buy something having problems but I'm sure there are people that will. Just make sure you disclose the issue.
I really like my 871. It is a very good unit. I'm sure nothing close to the new 891.

Send it in to Mc, it likely just needs a new transport.

I think you're better off repair, selling it, and applying the funds to the new MVP891! I'm thinking about selling the Oppo-95 to partially fund the MVP891 myself!
