Thanks for that review. It seems the mc275 is a very capable amp. When you ran them to 103db peaks is that -2db from reference when calibrated at 85db on WoW disk? If so, that is indeed very loud!

I was just using my Radio Shack sound level meter and when running it at either 80, 90, or 100 depending on if I knew the sound was going to get loud. So when I had it at 100 it would peak at +3 which would be 103 db if I’m correct.

Glad you find the MC 275 a worthy addition to your system. I agree that 105 dBa reference is very loud - too loud for my tastes, even for blockbuster movie watching. 100 dBa is much friendlier and well within the capabilities of your gear. Enjoy in good health! Tom
