Default $39 HiFiMan HM-101 headphones amp/DAC unboxing & impressions
Just want to share with you guys my impression on this $39 unit. At that price it's almost disposable so I think it would be nice to use for mobile laptop listening.

Great review Mike. In the same kind of budget, do you have any views/knowledge of the FiiO range, esp their E-7 model?

I wanted something even more portable than my Audioengine D1 and less pricey so if I lose it I wouldn't feel bad. I like the design a lot. I am surprised that he hasn't remedy this issue since launch. I am going to return it because I can't stand the scratchy noise in the audio stream.

There are a couple of positive reviews from amateurs on youtube but i'd trust your review more- it's £ 55 pounds in the UK.

It's possible yours is defective. I know of someone who has it he's never complained about the "mouse chewing on cable" noise.
