Chord Mojo/Poly
I have had a Chord Mojo since early this year, very nice little portable dac. But I have been anxiously waiting the release of the Poly streaming device that mates with the mojo. My Poly has arrived and was very easy to connect to my wifi and configure as a Roon end point. It's so nice to no longer be tethered to my phone or computer, yet have control over the music via Roon. Stay tuned for listening impressions of the Mojo/Poly vs Mojo hard wired.

The agenda tonight is more time with it. Initial impression of sound quality is great. Going to test it more this evening. |

The Poly has been really Operating with one hand behind its back with the GoFigure app not really launched yet.
But it is a very ambitious project from Chord and it is bound to have some teething problems. The thing is that this unit works in so many modes. And most of them are reliant on your WiFi network. Which is a big variable. I’ve had no issues with my Linksys Velop but my Dlink adsl modem with WiFi did present some drop outs. I’ve gotten it to work extremely well as a Roon End point and a firmware update two weeks ago gave us DSD in Roon so I’m happy. I’ve tested AirPlay and that seems to work. But it was never exhaustive. I did beta test Glider and it took a number of attempts and beta versions to read from the uSD card. But the developer managed to suss it out - I had too many DSD files which were not recognized by the Poly’s DLNA server as yet. I’d really want the GoFigure app to play direct from uSD card.
