Boulder is very good at keeping quiet about what they do (of which I approve and support 100%) and I will continue to bet that they WILL find a way to improve upon what they have accomplished with the 2110. In 2014?? early 2015??

I cannot imagine that Boulder would someday not offer a complete 3000 Series for their ultra high end customers (3010, 3020,3008, etc)...

Either way, these must be very exciting days at Boulder: all this new wonderful gear, a new factory under construction in Louisville, a full order book with a decent wait list (!!!!) for 3050/3060's.....and, I am beyond excited to hear the new gear in Denver this year at RMAF!!

Cheers,
Just quoting what I was told. If Boulder one day release a 3000 series preamp, that would be quite an accomplishment, though that would not in any way change my earlier comment "This preamp (for me) is now as close to perfection as any audiophile could wish, and I for one could not imagine wanting for more."

I agree the Boulder amps needs space!!! Boulder takes a fairly low key approach to placement as long as they are not too close to something that might emit magnetic fields....otherwise all they recommend is that there is available air to be able to move around the units....

As far as the preamps and phono stages go, I think most people place the separate power supplies away from the main portion of the components, so the components (minus the power supplies) do not normally take up too much room, unless wall and rack space is extremely limited....

The one issue I have with the Boulder gear is its size. This is the same reason I didn't go for MBL gear. Both companies products would take up too much space in my 2-channel room.
Yea but next to your speakers they would look tiny.

Yes the sound. The mighty 2110/3050 was driving a pair of XLF's. The sound was big but not the most impressive. Not the best XLF sound I heard. But then this was not an optimal envronment. I even doubt the 3050's were well fed with clean and robust power supplies.

Count on the Boulder amps having next to no hours I know for a fact the 2110 still had 'fresh paint'..

Oh, I can only imagine....from some of the sparse images I have seen, the crowds were horrendous.....combine that with the fact that yes, the 2110 probably had too few hours to truly shine and then, the proverbial show "sound"....also, I wonder how any hotel/convention facility could provide the power for the 3050's???

While the 3050's will be shown at Boulder's plant during the 2013 RMAF, I suspect that the 2110/2150's will be more than ready by the time RMAF rolls around!!

Cheers,
