Default why I dislike trucks !
A recent grade crossing disaster in Montana resulted in this mess when an idiot trucker thought he could 'beat the train'.

This and the fact that the American Trucking Assoc wants to raise the leagl wt limit to 97,000#, trailer lengths to 57'.........grrrrrrrrrrr.

I wonder if the trucker has the insurance to pay for this mess, maybe Warren Buffet has his railroad insured though Geico !

Well, I think the only thing you can do is to refuse to buy anything that is delivered by truck. Refuse to support such an irresponsible industry.

John, first off I probably should have titled my thread "I dislike all STUPID truck drivers" for that is exactly what that idiot was and since he's still alive, IS !

As a third generation railroader I'm more than aware of what moves this nation in so far as transportation. The trucking industry and railroads have developed a strong relationship in the field of intermodal. This wreck involved some of the biggest names in surface transportation in this country and for that matter the world.....UPS, Schneider, JB Hunt, Marten, Wheels / Clipper, BNSF.

Grade Crossing saftey 'Operation Lifesaver' is no laughing matter.

With my extended family in the long haul transport biz, I think he can kiss a lot more than that goodbye. Although I agree with the main point/complaint.
