This was my first... wasn't expensive as the hobby goes, never seen another one on another wrist, which I like very much. I've had it for 13 years, now. Plan to have it for another 50.

Did a bit of "watch shopping" while in Paris this past week. Was pretty much put off with the ostentatious watches from most all makers these days. Huge and gaudy from most everyone. At least that must be what's selling as that was about all that was in the shops. Beauty in the eye of the beholder, but for me it was sad.

While dropping off my GMT Master II for a Rolex overhaul, a two-tone Submariner caught my eye.

I had to have it.

Good thing I just bought my wife some nice earrings last week. The new purchase was met with her approval. In fact, she couldn't wait to get home yesterday to see the new watch!
