Hi again. The ideal comparison that I would like to do is to compare NCF with std GTX RH.
But I have not use GTX RH for a long time now. Of all, outlet comparison takes lots of effort.
So it will not be easy to swap outlet many times to compare the, unfortunately.

Just your thoughts on the NCF version would be great. No need to compare as it's not feasible to swap outlets.

First of all, I will not put Wattgate 381 EVO Gold back in.
NCF brings extra details, not thin or bright. Not too sharp.
I will have to watch action movie to see if it reduce bass impact. If not ,then I will call it perfect.

Oyaide R0,R1, Acoustic Revive are in a hyper detailed, sharp, light and lean camp.
GTX Gold, 381 Evo Gold will have midrange magic and some more warmth but perceived details will not compete wi Rhodium plated stuffs.

Somehow , it makes the difference between early digital recordings and modern ones more clearly heard.
The thin and lean sounding of some 80's CDs sounded clearly so.

How was the build quality and the grip strength? I am guessing top notch.

Bulid quality of Furutech GTX series is always top of the bunch.
Grip force is something questionable.
I have more than 5-6 GTX before. The very first one loose all its grip force almost entirely a few years after use.
The very last one before NCF, it gripped so hard that it scratch FI15 rhodium plating off when I pull out.
NCF feel just right, but I haven't pull the Elation out yet.

FYI. But the most dangerously tight ones are from Oyaide R family. It will peel the plating of any connector off !
The ones Audioquest use in Niagara 7000 power conditioner are also said to be destructively tight too.

About NCF, after long after the introduction, many hifi store in Japan still had no idea about it.
Until just in December that I got one form Yodobashi in Akihabara. But Acoustic Revive is quick to
Release the special NCF version under AR brand.

Tonally NCF is similar to Oyaide R0 or R1. ( with R1 lighter and more sparkle ). But Furutech GTX sounds rounder , while R Series are very sharp. This is clearly audible On distorted electric guitar of heavy metal. Where I slightly prefer Oyaide, it sounded as if electric Guitar were plug direct to my brain. Also sound of gun operation, swords hitting each other during movie. Oyaide will make it so exciting. Thats why I installed Oyaide R0 besides NCF on the same circuit, but as a secondary outpet that I can use it when I want to have sharper sound.
