My TV room is 5.1. Mostly I watch sports and a few crime-drama series, e.g. NCIS, so for me there isn’t much to be gained by going bigger.

Nope. My setup is plain 11 channels (7 “regular” + 2 front height + 2 front wide), not Atmos.
