Bryston Model Numbering?
Mornin' James ~ is there a way to pick basic information out of a Bryston model number? For example, do the numbers chosen for a Bryston power amp designate a particular specification?

Timeline?
Needless to say, James, I'm still reading up on Bryston power amps. Do you know of a website, somewhere, that gives an overall listing of the evolution of the Bryston power amps?

Third times a charm, right?
Well, James, I promise you that I called Bryston -- and wrote an email to Mike -- but I didn't get an answer by either method of contact...so here goes...
I wanted to ask if the Bryston multichannel (MC) power amps -- like the 9BSST2 Pro I saw in a photo -- was "modular," for lack of a better word. In other words, it appears to me that this amp may have been designed to allow for additional amp channels. Is this correct? By the way, the 9BSST2 Pro power amp I'm referring to clearly had three channels built into it. Have a great night ~ Bill

The 9B is a 5 channel amplifier but each channel is independent so it can be ordered as a 2 channel - 3 channel - 4 channel or 5 channel version. The channels can be removed independently as well so if one fails you can have that one serviced but the other channels can still be used. james |

Bristol "Modular" Power Amps
Quote:
Is the 9B the only "modular" multichannel power amp that Bryston has designed?

Bryston Audio Compendium?
Hi James ~ I was wondering if there now may be a resource available that describes and/or lists the history of Bryston Audio (BA) equipment?
As I'm sure you're well aware of, there are examples of BA equipment available on the used audio market, but it's difficult to know just how old some of this equipment is; hence, the original question. Thank you for the clarification ~ Bill
