Looking forward to your impressions. I love my K3's, but feel I could benefit from a jump up in power... aka K2's. Maybe 2020...

I feel the Canton Reference line represents enormous value/sound reproduction to cost. I am basing that on selling a few dozen brands of speakers over the last 18 years.

My Canton K1’s at $33k can actually keep pace with the TAD R1 MKII’s at over $100k which is uncanny.

Based on my 9K's, am guessing you can't feed the Canton Ref line of speakers with too much power. And solid-state (high damping factor - neither my Manley nor C-J tube amps could make the 9K's sing). Perhaps your McIntosh dealer would allow you to audition an MC462 at home.

Hi Ventoux, I run the 1K's high/mid with MC2301's and the lows with a MC462. Previously the MC2301's were the only amps I was running and it as glorious. Now that I'm bi-amping it's even better so I can see the point. We will never be disappointed by the 2301's!!

Don’t replace just add the McIntosh mc462 or even the mc601/611 for Bi-amping.

Nice to see Canton bridging the gap between the 1's and 3's. The reference line represents excellent value in a truly high end reference speaker compared to the prices many of its competitors.

To my ears my Ref 1's are among the finest sounding speakers I've ever listened to (and I've had my ears around quite a few).

The new tech in the K series just ups the ante. I'm so glad Ivan represents this line and brings great exposure for this high end, built in house German engineered masterpiece.
