The S1 demo is probably a couple of months away.

I would think the closest competitor to the Q1 is a small Raidho, especially Thimios' avatar, which looks to me very much like the latest D 1 at $28k.

Thanks, Chessman, I come here from time to time, just lurking and reading things that interest me.

Yes this is the new Raidho D-1. In Europe it is cheaper at EUR 18k ($24k)

I hope that just in time for the D 1 debut, Raidho finally made the stands adjustable!

The local dealer is selling the Q1 for US$15k only as a special. I wonder if it is worth getting a pair?

Attractive pricing ... but then it would require a high powered amp , which basically takes you down a path similar to your current amps. A better option would be IMO to get a higher efficiency speaker and mate it with a sweet low powered amp like say the Zanden 300b ( if you can source one ) and wallow in it's intimacy . Just my two cents .

15k.. that sounds too good to be true. For a new pair?
Both my Devialet and my Dartzeel 108 have no problem driving the Q1. And I would take anytime the Dartzeel against a Zanden 300b |
