I've had a new Gold Lion 6922 sitting around so I replaced the EH6922 gold pin today. First time I ever popped the lid. Just looking at the electronic layout was impressive. First analysis there seems to be more bottom. Seems to have more flesh on the bone than the EH. I'll give it about 50 hrs for a more accurate review. Has anyone used the Gold Lion and what are your thoughts.

Always enjoyed JAN Philips 6922. They used to be cheap at <$20/tube. When you can find them these days they seem to have at least doubled in price.

Thanks for the tip. What type of sound do you get from the JAN Phillips? On cost it's nice the CJ only takes one tube. So the overall investment isn't that great.

Quiet background, smooth and fast. To my ears that is the best part of a any good 6922 - they seem faster & quieter to my ears then either the 12AX7 or 12AT7 and likely one of the reasons why I like my Cary SLI-80 so much.
