I have the cd6 player/dac and ordered the ref5se yesterday. Should have in a week, but dealer letting me have theirs in the meantime. My mc452 has a pending sale, and when that goes through, I'll order the ref75. I also need a phono pre now. Because I need a good phono pre and I'm not getting quite what it originally hoped for out of my mc gear, I think a ref150 is not in the cards for now. The ref75 does really well in my room, so I don't feel like I'm cutting corners in any way! It's a rock star.

i thought i read somewhere that Ref 75 was voiced with Sashas so there should be no problem driving them. If the ref 75 couldn't deliver the power wouldn't ARC have used a less demanding speaker?

I have never read that, but I do know that both companies do in fact use each other's products to showcase theirs.

And it would not surprise me if such a thing happened. There is an undeniable synergy between the Ref5, Ref75 and Sasha's. It's VERY good. Like up there with the best I've ever heard. Definitely when considering the price.

A friend of mine is pushing me to get the Ref150 instead of the Ref75. Anyone have experience with the fans? Can you ever hear them from 10 feet away?

I don't know how I'd pull off the Ref150, but I guess if I'm going to keep going in debt, I better keep doing it right

Also, does anyone have direct experience with both of these amps...and would you push yourself to get the 150 over the 75 even with tight funds? Is it worth it?

Stereophile just gave the REF 75 Joint Amplification Components of the Year:

Stereophile's Products of 2013 Joint Amplification Components of the Year | Stereophile.com

Stick with the REF 75, if you upgrade to the Sasha Series 2 or Alexia you're set.
