New McIntosh Turntable Announced

Anyone know if it has a changeable headshell? Appears that it is held in place with a couple of screws.

Without a doubt yes -- can upgrade the cartridge to one's choice. A CA is recommended though for a CA table.

This deck looks way, WAY sharper than the other McIntosh turntables. I never could warm up to having a front faceplate on a turntable. As for pricing - Clearaudio and McIntosh are 2 companies that charge dearly for their gear. When I saw the opening post, that $2500 figure was lower than I would have expected for this collaboration. Unfortunately it's not surprising it ended up at $4000. That would place this deck right around the Performance DC (plus cartridge) in Clearaudio's line.

If it turns out to be $4000-4500, I will pass on it and just get the Technics SL-1200GR that came out in 2016 with Ortofon 2M Bronze PnP Mk II

I have heard that the MT2 should be available in Europe in April. My local reseller should receive one unit in April.
