Default MR88....XM Mini Tuner discontinued

I'm interested in adding XM to my MR88 in my office. It looks like the Mini Tuner referenced in the MR88 manual has been discontinued.

Do I have buy a used Mini or is there an alternative XM tuner to use???

Cool deal. I just went looking for it and found it in a cabinet. Nothing wrong with it if you change your mind and would like it. I just simply do not see myself using XM ever again. I hope you get what you are looking for.

I'm thinking hard about an MR88 and wonder if this is the beginning of the end for that model? Or, perhaps, the beginning of the beginning of a new tuner/internet radio/xm-tidal-etc./hd/ device? I think a device such as that would be well received, and have looked and really haven't found it in the market. I'm pausing the search until CES to see if MC does something such as that (unlikely, but one can never tell).

A third party discontinuing a tuner doesn't necessarily mean Mc is making a new tuner. The MR88 is still a relatively recent product, 2009 I want to say. The only thing to add would be Internet radio, but that's easily accomplished a number of other ways. The MR88 is a great tuner, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it if you're considering one.

Default Mr88

I ordered mine at the end of January. My dealer tells me Mc is just starting to build this week and to look to April for it to show up.

I have an MR 88 with the XM tuner. Works great and I find I use XM the most. As bad as XM has become, my local stations are worse. Would be a shame to have a piece of equipment like this and not be able to use XM due to a lack of the small XM tuner piece. Probably a good idea for owners to get a back up module while they're still available. My Xm antenna is out on the roof so I'm sure it won't last as long as the MR 88...
