I'm told it is about a week in their hands plus the shipping time. For me being in Seattle, I'm looking at approx 3 weeks total. I'll let you know if that's true and what it sounds like in 3 weeks!

I had a ref5se with tube nos and I round it terrific. I thought I wouldn’t change anymore. But one day I tried a passive preamp, the Bespoke audio and it was a revelation 🥰

The 6SE was an immediate improvement over my 5SE. FWIW the phono 3SE not a major improvement over the 2SE, at least so far. This with the DAWs and 160S.

Marc,

Have you had gotten your upgraded ARC REF 6SE back yet? How does it sound compared to the REF 6?

No, it's been very painful. They've had it for over 2 weeks and I don't believe they've started the work. So this will definitely take a full month, if not more, from drop off at my dealer to pickup.

In the meantime, my dealer let me borrow an old Anthem preamp. It's not EVEN CLOSE to my Ref6 pre-upgrade!

At least you’ll appreciate it that much more when you get it!

Marc,

Thanks for that update. I finally got the green light to send my Ref 6 in for the SE upgrade. Will also be sending in my Ref Phono 3 at the same time for the SE upgrade. They estimated about a 2-week turnaround time. We'll see.

I certainly hope your turnaround is going to be better than mine, but if I were you I'd expect more like a month.

In any event, we are eventually going to be happy campers, I suspect!
