Oh my, what a fun amp. It has a volume control, but it really is for preamp matching. They say it is perfectly acceptable to hook up a line level source and adjust the volume with this control. This amp is absolutely incredible.

Upon first firing it up, it had the typical cold amp anemia. I left it playing for about 20-30 minutes while I did other things.

It's not broken in, obviously. But I can tell already the fullness and warmth is coming on. 20 wpc on my TADs is not quite what they recommend but I have to say it's a strong 20 watts. It will be absolute dynamite on the Cornwalls. It's doing a great job on my TADs. For my typical late night listening sessions it is more than enough. It has sweet mids and highs with pretty full bass on my TADs. It is opening up as she runs in. Overall I'd say this is a keeper and can't wait until I get more play time on it as she breaks in. Paired with the Cornwalls, I think I will be grinning ear to ear.
JOE,

It's going to be as good as gold with those Cornwalls, just like we thought it would !!

Huge congrats my friend

Mark

Thanks Brad. I am convinced it will be wonderful on the Cornwalls.

Mark,

I have to hand it to you. You were spot on. I can't wait until I can drag my Klipsch speakers upstairs. They are way better than I thought on my TADs, I know the Cornwalls will be wonderful.

Joe.......I think you might be onto something really good here. The Carver Black Magic 20, the McIntosh D100 and the Klipsch Cornewall's would be a sweet system.

Congrats Joe That's a sweet looking amp. Can't wait to hear your impression when you pair it with the Cornwall's.

As my avatar says, I dig the Carver amps. Got the Cherry 180's running and sounding beautifully, so I guess the Black Magic are some fine components as well.

Hopefully by the weekend I'll have that hooked up.

The Black Magic has a strong 20 watts. Drives my TADs very well. No complaints. Just great tunes.
