Those are some great photos!

Darn you David, just as I was getting comfy with with X100, now you have me thinking about the X-E1. It will take some Stoic effort and tricks to resist it :-).

At least I am staying in "the family" (i.e. Fuji.) For me Fuji's design has the same vintage appeal as Shindo.

David, hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of doing a bit of editing on your beautiful snow vista to only provide a different perspective on a wonderful shot. I cropped down the snow foreground and sky a bit and did some small tweaks to white balance to warm it up just a skosh, and added some clarity and vibrance to enhance the color a little, particularly the wonderful horse in the background. I love how the fence leads your eye through the frame to the points of interest in the photo. I can send you the LR settings I used if you're interested.

The three pictures from my sun room were taken with the 18-55 F2.8-4 fuji zoom. All 3 were shot from the same seat through the window at different zoom focal length's. I'm impressed with this little zoom lens and like it a lot so far. I'm still learning different nuances about this camera every day, little tweeks and settings that make the camera do what I want it to do yet it really surprises me how excellant the quality is for such a affordable package. I ordered the 35 1.4 to have for low light but I'm not sure it is necessary. The vibration reduction on this zoom has allowed me to handhold down to a shutter speed of 8 with no visible shake.
