Congratulations. I agree with Ivan, great color - and great room for them!

I meant to ask you how you have your cables connected? I've never seen any hooked up like that before.

Wow Robert....Your Sophia 3's and your room is absolutely gorgeous!!! I don't usually like black or dark colored speakers but this blue is really nice. Congrats and welcome to the Wilson Audio Family.

btw...please don't post any more photo's..... I may be forced to order a pair of 3's myself.

BlueChiaro you are killing me. I've been sitting on the fence trying to decide between the B&W 805D's and Wilson Audio Duette's and the more I read the more I'm sucked into the Wilson Audio's. I've tried everything within in my power to justify not buying them and your posting is going to push me over the edge.

The reality is that I am having a hard time justifying the cost for what is a bookshelf speaker when I know that for only an incremental amount more I can get a pair of Sophia 3's. Unfortunately, I don't have the space for anything but bookshelf units.

Looks like I'm going to have to make a move before the March 10th price increase.

My B&W N802 speakers had dual connectors, so I had the bi-wire MITs going into them. The Wilsons only have one pair of binding posts, so I had to get some spade terminations (changed from some bananas) and hook both frequency leads to the one post. The right channel cables hooked up comfortably from below, but the left channel went together more easily coming from above & below. It looked kinda funny, but I thought it made for a cool picture. Eventually, I'll get single lead speaker wire as this stuff will follow the B&Ws to the basement theater, when complete.

It's a very hard color to depict in a photo, 'cisco. It's fairly dark except in bright light...then it comes alive. I used to have a Ferrari in this color which I bought 21 years ago, today...sigh.

Sorry to add to your agony, surf...good luck regardless of which way you go. I've heard that the 805Di are excellent. I almost decided on the Duettes, but I decided that I wanted a floor standing speaker. Being a B&W guy, too, I can't say anything bad about them. :sorry:
