Yes, forgot to mention, all my trigger cables are stereo. When I turn the C2600 by itself (no MX122) the meters are on the C2600 and the 601s. Maybe it’s a feature of the MX122 being a Home Theater unit to keep the lights off?

Saturday Riddle - Make a Connection!
Not sure on this one. Check and see if there is a meter lights on/off selection in the MX 122 - it may be driving the whole system meter lighting status.
BTW - I wish my system acted this way! I'd consider it a nice feature, because I want all my meter lights off when watching movies, on when listening to 2 channel.

When I set up my c2500 with my Yamaha processor I had a similar issue and it was due to the trigger cable - from memory when I used a stereo cable the lights will remain on in bypass mode, providing they are set to on in the menu settings, but a mono cable will cause the lights to switch off.
I can only suggest double checking your trigger cable and maybe trying a different one and also the 'light on' in settings (I don't believe you can change for bypass mode specifically). Hope you get it sorted soon! |

1. All my cables are stereo and work (meters light are on) unless I run the MX122 scenario. 2. Could not find any MX122 function that controls meter lights when Passthrough is on. I have to admit that I am starting to like this behavior (whether it was supposed to be a feature or not), as when I watch a movie, those bright-blue-mesmerizing lights are quite the distraction :-) |

How do you turn on the C2600 by itself? I wouldn't think it's possible if connected in passthru mode. Also check to see if your meter lights are set to "on" the amp and preamp, if so the MX122 lights should be on.

I can turn the C2600 on it's own even when the passtru cable is in. This mode only kicks in when the MX122 is turned on. |

As Levitator suggested (post 14), it is worth trying a different stereo trigger cable between the MX122 and C2600.

Does the C2600 have a trim function to control the lights?

It does, there is a menu option to keep them on or off. The strange thing is that it works perfectly until I turn my MX122 on and it takes over. This is what’s confusing me, seems like there should be some option on the 122 to toggle on or off, I just haven’t been able to find it.
