Grado SR 325i are home !

When it comes to headphones, I'm a complete Grado fan. I have had SR80i for so many years and traveled everywhere with them, they felt in pieces a few weeks ago. I wanted to go for the RS1 or PS500 or 1000's but I loved so much the 80 that I decided to stop by at the 325i station.
I'm listening to my music library on the ipad while typing this ( Squeeze Pad app with the Ipad option transforms the ipad into a player ) and honestly, it sounds stunning. More neutral than the 80 i and not a trace of aggressivity. The typical Grado sound that I sherish : the perfect balance of weight, warm and openness. I already love them a lot. Will have to try them on the C1000 and C48.
I bought them at Sound Earphones and received a perfect service from Michael.

I've been eyeing the sr80i, but now you have me thinking the 325i. My first Grado is RS1i and I'm sold on the Grado sound. Would love to see some pictures.

I think I'll go with the SR225i's....supposed to be the sweet spot in the Grado lineup.

I'm going to pair it with the new Audioquest Dragonfly DAC, asynchronous 24/96 USB code by Gordon Rankin of Wavelength!

About the size of a thumb memory flash drive with a stereo miniplug jack.

Thanks for the heads-up. Audioquest web site is really a piece of crap. No need to use Flash on the site. It takes forever to download and I have 25mbps down.

I wonder if the Audioquest Dragonfly is a good headphones amp at that size.

Only the buyer can decide that for themselves, Mike. What constitutes a value proposition for the customer comes down to...the customer.

Yes Mike. The 325 is much much much better than the 80.
I still get the same unpleasant pressure on my ears after about an hour. The only negative point of Grado headphones is the comfort which is far from optimal. The RS1 I tried in a store once seemed to be lighter and a bit more comfortable.
