Default Audiophile Night/Listening Clubs

Thought folks here would find this interesting. Seems be mainly London-based for now, but who knows?

Yeah I saw that too. I'm sure skeptical that is the "best sound system in the world" lol.

I doubt there's a market for such a thing to take off. Anyone who wants to go to a place like that likely has their own system.

I had the same idea at one point but never put it into action.

It's in the hispter part of London so I'm sure it's going to attract a lot of crowd though not really the same public as the one here. I should go and check it out nonetheless.

The article has some gems like

If you serve coffee or something else to get people in there, it will be loud with lots of people moving around. That destroys the whole point. If you don't have something like that, what will attract people in the first place? Do they really come in to sit quietly and listen to an album? Who gets the sweet spot?

How could this be monetized? I just don't see it. Maybe it would be cool to have a record shop with that in a back room. Maybe a barista up front, and a separate listening room in the back.

It's the same thing if you go to a live concert with people drinking and moving around. You would still have a better sound than any other place and at least you wouldn't have to deal with system that only care about the low range.

It would be a social gathering around music.
