In that case, you're probably going to have to look into a roof mounted directional antenna with rotator for a significantly better results. While the ST2 is a fairly good antenna, it's limited to the fact of being an omnidirectional which cannot begin to compete with directional unit under the most adverse reception conditions. Even in my area, the roof mounted ST2 can only do so much.

I share your frustration in regards to the apparent advantage many car radios seem to have over a high end home tuner and antenna setup.
