McIntosh XR19
I was wondering if anyone here has these as well and if you had to replace the surrounds. I need to do mine but want to make sure I use the proper ones from the right dealer. I didn't care for the ones I bought from simplyspeakers as they were a real pain to deal with. As soon as they touched the glue they wrinkled like crazy! That was for a pair of Snells I got from the dump!

There is a guy in Greensboro NC area that can replace woofer surrounds. Has been a few years ago but he repaired my first speakers which were 30 yrs old and they work as they did before. I think he charged $50 pair plus shipping and all you send is the woofer. I was able to take to him locally so I do not know shipping cost but that is based on size and weight anyway. If you PM me I will look up his address.

Thanks JRock. I don't mind doing them myself. I just want to find the best and correct fit if anyone has a suggestion for a supplier. Also it would cost quite a bit to ship four 12" and two 8" drivers.
Thanks again! |
