Default Premium UHD disc player other than OPPO ?

There is new hope.
Pioneer UDP-LX500 ( search for it )
and also Panasonic UB9000
Will they better than the OPPO 205 ? Let's see.

I need one with HDMI output so I can keep using my DAC to decode Blu-rays and SACDs

I believe that the Oppo 205 is still available at some locations.

Yes they are available, Oppo has a waiting list. So you are covered, no need to
sorry or whine. All good!

There’s the Cambridge Audio CXUHD. It’s a bit pricey (although not by audiophile standards) at $700 list, but it looks very good. Has 2 hdmi outputs and no dac “...for noise reduction and improved audio...”

There’s also the Sony UBP-X800 at $230 list. https://www.sony.com/electronics/blu...etails_default

...
The Cambridge is just the Oppo 203 without the analog section plus a few additional tweaks so I suspect once Oppo completely stops production these will stop as well.

For those who own OPPO, try Zerozone linear power supply .
The Digital version (no more power feed to DAC board) .
Big improvement on video and audio on HDMI output. No extra heat at all.

This is absolutely on the money. There simply is nothing for video (unless it features a liner power supply for the digital section - and I haven't seen an LPS for a blu ray player other than the now out of production Ayre $10K player) that's going to compete with a Oppo 203 with a LPS.

I've also gotten the ZeroZone digital only LPS (~$200 all in) and it's been a spectacular improvement for both video and digital audio outputs - because of not only the LPS itself but removing the noisy analog board output from the equation (it's no longer powered). If you want some additional performance, you can also replace the IEC and internal power wiring as suggested below (ZeroZone makes those products as well - I found they made a noticeable difference but it was nowhere near the impact of the LPS and for the price didn't really make sense unless you're looking to eek out that last bit of performance), but it's the LPS that's the real star of the show.

I'm not a tech at all.
Is this doable for dummies?
Websites tell it's plug and play, but even that scares me...
