Default Sound & Vision - The Bristol Show

I saw some photos on Facebook about this event with B&W 800D3's and the new DB subwoofers. I saw four RB-1590's in the photo. Is it possible to modify these amps to run in full mono? Or were there rear speakers they were driving that were not in the photos? Perhaps Patrick could chime in? Here are the photos they posted.

Hi BWLover,

Those amplifiers were RB-1590s running 800D3s in a bi-amplified configuration.

Is it true that you can put a glass of water on the new subs and the water does not move while the sub is in operation? Someone commented on the Facebook post that they demonstrated this at that show...

I recall being able to balance a quarter on the Martin Logan subs so I am not sure what they would prove other than a dual driver causing zero sum at the midpoint of the cabinet.

Though I'm interested if it can...

Or....., since the bass output is so big on the 800's d3, the subwoofers were just off.

I've only used the new DB Series subs once (they were engineering samples) and the cabinets were dead quiet under load.

I'm sure bw makes awesome subs... I want a pair already.

Hmm... 800d3 or 802d3 with db duals... Decisions decisions
